How can Nu-V help women with breast cancer?

Nu-V and Breast Cancer
This is a project that as a company, we at The Women’s Health Clinic feel very strongly about. We have been offering a variety of solutions to common gynaecological and menopause issues.

Our main treatment is the Nu-V laser vaginal rejuvenation which we have delivered for the last 6 years to women with various issues such as trauma relating to childbirth, the menopause, vulvo-vaginal atrophy, stress incontinence and dermatological conditions like lichen sclerosus.
We have seen first hand how life changing this treatment can be for women and are setting up a charity to ensure that women who experience vulvo-vaginal atrophy following treatment for breast cancer have access to a free single Nu-V treatment.

Introduction

Below is a short presentation explaining our mission and upcoming project to enable breast cancer survivors to live their life post-treatment as wholly and as fulfilling as possible and address any medical issues that undergoing treatment can leave these ladies with, in terms of intimacy and continence.

In the presentation, you’ll find referenced articles and literature and an overview of the treatment, project and our plans to include you as possible referring practitioners as well as enhance your knowledge of this long-standing highly efficacious treatment.

Our main treatment at The Women’s Health Clinic is the Nu-V laser vaginal rejuvenation which we have delivered for the last 6 years to women who were silently suffering from various issues such as trauma relating to childbirth, menopause, vulvovaginal atrophy, stress incontinence and dermatological conditions like lichen sclerosis. We have seen first-hand how life-changing this treatment can be for women. Because of this knowledge and first-hand experience we have, The Women’s Health Clinic is setting up a charity to ensure that women who experience any of the issues mentioned above following treatment for breast cancer will have access to a free single Nu-V treatment.

We are acting as a non-profit and for every woman that is referred to us, The Women’s Health Clinic will donate £50.00 into our charity fund that will be used to ensure those women that need the treatment most can access fully or partially funded treatments.

Please watch the presentation for further information on the treatment, the referral process and this project.

Our Presentation

Our Referral Process

You have a woman with atrophy who cannot use localised vaginal oestrogen as a result of current or previous breast cancer and she would like to discuss the treatment with us

You need to complete the referral form which we will provide and the woman can then contact us directly

She will then receive a free 20 minute telephone assessment by one of our triage nurses and if appropriate she will be registered with one of our nurses to receive the treatment

Our Commitment

  • FREE Nu-V single treatment to all cancer patients at Brighton Clinic. The normal treatment price is £995 for all three treatments
  • They will receive the same care to those women paying for the treatment
  • A £50 GP referral fees for all other patients will be paid into a Cancer Patient Designated account. These funds will be used to pay for a range of treatments for cancer patients so that these treatments are fully or partially funded.
  • We will write to you on completion of the treatment confirming that the treatment has been completed with any follow up advice/ongoing management requirements
  • If you would like to arrange a zoom meeting or further discussion of this treatment before referring patients, or indeed collaborating with us please contact our Managing Director Emma Soos via e-mail emma@thewomenshealth.clinic
